I have averaged five hundred views of my blog each month for over five years. I am making a plea to readers to give a donation to ECO-Tours of Wisconsin Inc. for the posts you read. If everyone who read my blog would give just a dollar, it would allow me/we to plant more trees, build more soil faster and to reforest more acres. I have paid twenty dollars for a magazine with maybe a dozen articles between it's covers. This "publication" (labor of love crafted by my own hand) has over six hundred entries, many of which exceed in content what some entire magazines might offer.
If everyone reading posts sent a dollar for each post they read, our local not-for-profit, ECO-Tours of Wisconsin Inc. could afford to plant fifty trees per month, or enough to reforest an acre every six months! We continue to plant trees as we can afford, but sequestering carbon, to me, just makes sense! That is why I teach about char and biochar production, that is why I continue to live by example, 100% organic and restorative! Regeneration of the soil profile, expanding and diversifying the soil food web is the only thing that can stave off global catastrophe as the biosphere is killed off.
For my part, I have invested thousands of hours creating these writings and many thousands more planting actual trees, not just the seeds of ideas that I share here. Building community happens on microscopic scale when we treat the Earth right. Creating harmony amongst members of the macroscopic food web is dependent on having healthy abundant and diverse microscopic organisms in the native soils.
